TasveerSaz is coming out with a new look.

We've been away for quiet a while and that was because we have been busy with our studies, working on this new look and taking a lot of photographs.

When we launched our website back in January, we had not put much thought into it. I wouldn't call it a thoughtless step, but at that time our main focus was on LAUNCHING it rather than how it looked. But over the period that we've been away, we've put a lot of thought into our appearance; how it should be and why it should be that way.

The logo; a lot and lot of thought and mind has been put to it. We've eaten our brains out for it, and the last six months have been spent over it; thinking, designing and rejecting plenty of different logos and after a lot of different designs, we agreed on this one. And it is the logo that the rest of the new theme is revolving around.

The Concept:

Simplicity: The logo is a typographic one, simply saying "TasveerSaz" in Urdu. TasveerSaz is all about simplicity. We create work that is simple and representative of common human emotions. Simplicity was one of the things kept in mind when coming up with this new look.

Open to ideas, yet limited: The reason a curvy script has been used for TasveerSaz's logo is because curves are more free-moving than a line. Curve's are less rigid than a line. The curvy nature of the logo represents our will of exploration and movement. It represents that we are not rigid about something that doesnt work, we're open to new ideas and thoughts.
The curves have just been used in the logo, the places where a line has been used, is to represent the limitations we still have. We intend to open our minds to new ideas but we are faced by other limitations.

Energy & Passion: The colours used in the new look represent passion. Orange and Yellow, the colors of fire, represents the energy in us. Red, the colour of blood (the essence of life) represents the passion in us for what we do.


The new website would be up and running on the third of July, 2006. That day would be a special one for TasveerSaz for two reasons. First being the new look and the second being the birthday of Hamza Azeem.

Also, we'll be coming out with a lot more "tasveers" from the third of July onwards.
